Agri-Tec Aquatic algaecide

AgriTec Aquatic Algaecide is a proprietary copper formulation for the control of dam algae including blue - green algae in water. It contains 226g/L Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate.

AgriTec® is a unique copper - based aquatic algaecide and is for the control of a number of algae species including Chara and Phormidium species. You can use Agritec® in farm dams and ponds, irrigation canals, lakes, and potable water supplies.

In trials of a copper sulphate pentahydrate vs a chelated copper algaecide vs blue green  algae  the results contrasted significantly.

The copper chelate suppressed the cyanobacteria population during the initial 2 days after treatment but the blue - green algae population rebounded significantly between 2 and 7 days after treatment.
