Children's Program

At Bright Stars Kindergarten we understand that the first five (5) years of a child's life is the most critically important time in brain development. Children develop at the greatest rate during this time. There is extensive evidence to support the importance of child development in the early years which influences the child's overall health, well being and competence throughout their life. Our goal therefore is to provide a stimulating and educational program that will optimise opportunities to enrich and enhance each child's learning and development and ensure the potential of each child is met.

Our educational program is carefully structured, helping each child develop their learning, by building on what they already know and can do. It provides unlimited opportunities for the development of the whole child and caters for every age level. Our unique program is centered around developmentally appropriate activities and includes key areas such as early mathematical skills and concepts, language and literacy, science, art, music, drama, cognition, gross and fine motor development and socialisation. The activities provide opportunities for teaching and learning both indoors and outdoors. Each of our well equipped rooms offers a separate age specific program aimed to maximise children's learning and potential at each stage of their life.

We believe it is important to cater for each child's individual needs, interests and abilities. Therefore our programs and activities are planned through observation and consideration of the individual developmental needs and skills of each child. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the development of our program.
