Bringing home a new puppy is exciting for the whole family especially little children.
Always remember that they are totally dependent upon you for their health and nutrition.
Your new puppy will more than likely be apprehensive and anxious on their first night away from their little mates and being in new and different surroundings, so we recommend that you as the owner provide them with a warm and secure area. Provide them with a radio, ticking clock, hot water bottle and toys are just some ideas people use to reassure their new puppy doesn't feel alone. Try not to get into the habit of running to the puppy when it cries, as it will very quickly learn that crying will bring company. Last thing before bed for the puppy is to feed, go to the toilet and say goodnight. First thing in the morning take the puppy outside for toileting, however expect the occasional accident inside until toilet training is completed.
