Implants

Implants look and feel like natural teeth. They fill the space that's left if you lose a tooth and stop your other teeth from "drifting" into the empty spaces. They also prevent bite and jaw problems caused by teeth moving from where they are meant to be. There are three stages involved in having a dental implant: 1. A titanium implant is surgically placed in the bone to act as a root for the tooth. A cap, called a healing abutment, is then placed over the implant. The implant is then left for six months to allow the bone to heal around the implant. 2. A crown is built for the top of your implant. An impression is taken of the implant in your mouth and sent away to our laboratory where your new crown is designed. 3. The healing abutment is removed and your new crown is cemented to the implant. We have a surgeon that specialises in implants. The procedures are done right here in our surgery. So you don't have to travel.
