Skin rejuvenation procedures performed by the doctors and health professionals in this practice include:
- Cosmetic Injection
Anti-wrinkle treatments are a non-surgical procedure whereby a small injection of Botulinum Toxin Type A is administered into the wrinkle-causing muscles thus relaxing it so it is unable to contract. Once the wrinkles are relaxed, the lines gradually smooth and new lines may be prevented from forming.
It takes 2-3 days for the treatment to begin taking effect and about 7 days to receive results that are indicative of full treatment results.
The effects usually last up to 3-4 months and the effect may last longer with regular repeated treatments.
Muscle relaxing injections are also commonly used as a treatment for migraines and headaches as well as for excessive underarm sweating (Hyperhidrosis).
Dermal Fillers include a range of injectable gels made from a naturally occurring complex sugar called hyaluronic acid (HA) that replaces or enhances skin volume. HA is found within the tissues of living cells including human skin, and assists in skin hydration by attracting and holding water. It also combines with collagen and elastin to help provide skin structure and elasticity.
Fillers deliver a long-lasting (9-24 months, depending on the specific product), natural look and feel to the treated area with minimal or 'no' down-time.
Lips - Fillers can be used to enhance or rejuvenate both the body and the border of the lips and to treat lip lines.
Wrinkles, Folds and Scars - Injectable gel can be placed below the skin's surface to literally 'fit in' or 'plump up' the static wrinkles, folds and scars that are present at rest. Fillers diminish the depth of wrinkles and create a smoother more refreshed facial appearance.
Volume restoration and enhancement- Fillers enhance or restore volume in areas such as the mid-face and cheekbone area and provide more youthful contours to the jawline, chin and lower face.
