Jowls, submental area
With the aging process, there is usually volume loss from the midface, with the lower face gaining volume, giving the face a more square appearance. This is accompanied by the development of a double chin. This can often be addressed by performing liposuction to the areas where there is excessive fat accumulation. This will result in a better definition of the jawline and the profile of the neck. Additional procedures may be required to tighten up lax muscles and soft tissue, which can be offered at Facial Artistry.
Upper and lower abdomen
These two seperate areas are often treated together to ensure a good aesthetic outcome. Some people accumulate more fat in the lower abdomen and others in the upper abdomen. It is important to note that a component of the abdominal curvature is from intra-abdominal fat, which cannot be sculpted or treated by liposuction.
Waist and hips
A slim waist and a hip/waist ratio of 0.7 is very desirable and feminine.
In men, a more inverted triangular shape is desirable. This needs to be kept in mind when sculpting the 'love handle areas.
Liposuction can help to create a round, shapely buttock.
The outer and inner thigh can be shaped, as can the areas around the knees. This can help to create slimmer and well-proportioned legs.
Fat often accumulates over the back of the arms (triceps area). Liposuction of this area can help to minimise this.
This area can be treated to minimise 'bra-bulges'.
