Description
Grab The M.I.C. is a brand new Music incursion for Primary Schools which is incredibly fun, hands on and based on the Music Curriculum. Every student will have a chance to play an electronic drum kit, electric guitars, keyboards, multi-effects sound stations, a laptop with digital sound production software and many other enticing musical instruments. General noise levels will be minimal as each work station will be fully equipped with headphones only to be plugged into amplifiers for the "Open-Mic" jamming session at the very end.
The students don't need to read music or know how to play musical instruments to benefit from this course as they will learn all they need to know to produce quality musical performances during the course (I have designed a rhythm notation formula that even the most reluctant teacher can follow!). Through free experimentation, peer tuition, guidance from a qualified and experienced music teacher and step-by-step guides and challenges at each work station, their musical skills will be boosted beyond expectations. The aim of this course is to reinvigorate a passion for music, nurture self-esteem and boost the confidence of as many students as possible. Everyone should have access to the therapeutic properties of music - through Grab The M.I.C. school incursions kids can have the music they want.
This course can be booked as a "one-off" event focusing on music as therapy or as ongoing workshops that accumulate including tuition in drums, guitar, music technology and working towards a musical performance at the end of the collection - you decide and we cater! Free worksheets, CD of all digitally created music by students and DVD of jamming sessions of each class all provided after the workshops.
Course Costs
50min incursion for 1 or 2 classes - $150
50min incursion for 3 or more classes - $125 each
(This workshop can cater for up to 35 students per class)
