Cautions and interactions

• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
• This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150mcg for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded.
• Use of high doses of vitamin E should be stopped at least two weeks prior to surgery.
• Use of lipid-lowering drugs (eg cholestyramine, colestipol) may reduce levels of vitamin E in the body. Supplements containing vitamin E may be beneficial.
• Concomitant use of vitamin E supplements and cisplatin may reduce drug-induced neurotoxicity effects.
• Concomitant use of high dose vitamin E supplements and warfarin or other drugs which affect blood clotting (including aspirin) may lead to an increased risk of bleeding.
