Pre-Kindy Child Care

The Pre Kindy room accommodates 16 children from 2 ½ years to 3 ½ years daily. We have two staff members at all times of the day including over the lunch period. The Staff encourage the children's independence through Self Help Skills. The group leader programs interest based activities to encourage and extend on each child's skills. Planned activities can be seen in the children's Journals. The room encourages a play based program which allows children free choice of activities and the group is able to work on projects. The children in this room are all toilet-trained and have the skills and abilities to take themselves to the bathroom and follow through with tasks. Everyday the children in this age group are gaining more skills through "play".
