Description
We operate our Kindergarten Program in the Preschool Room with 24 inquisitive young students ranging in ages 3.5 years to school age, who have a thirst for knowledge.
In accordance with Child Care Regulations, Kindergarten Guidelines, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and current trends we aim to foster an educational program based on the foundations of Research, Negotiation, Evaluation and Re evaluation. We have implemented an Interest Based Program also known as the Emergent Curriculum.
What makes our program unique is that the children have ownership within their learning environment through their choice of activities, general day to day running of the room and interests that emerge from their daily lives. This method of learning allows children's interest to be explored and we find that children learn better when in control of their learning. In doing so, the children have the opportunity to take their learning to a whole new level.
