Restorations
Are you unhappy with the tired appearance of old, ugly black or silver fillings? Not only are these unsightly but amalgam fillings are known for causing stress fractures in teeth, therefore making them more susceptible to breaking. They also contain mercury, which is unhealthy for the body.
Or it may be that you have a decayed tooth which requires restoration.
Tooth coloured restorations are used for a variety of reasons.
- Replacing old leaking amalgam fillings,
- Restoring a broken tooth,
- Repairing cavities,
- Cosmetic dentistry, and
- Worn teeth.
Early warning signs may include symptoms such as cold sensitivity, sharp pain after cold drinks or chewing, or toothache. Sometimes there are no symptoms so early detection is critical, that's why we recommend regular dental checks.
Vision dental is an amalgam free surgery. We can replace your old silver fillings or complete new restorations in a tooth coloured composite material which is just as strong as the old amalgam. Your new restorations will look more natural and are better for you.
In some cases where a restoration is particularly large, the dentist may recommend a porcelain restoration for strength and to protect the tooth from fracture.
You will have the benefit of our team's knowledge of the latest techniques and materials to achieve a beautiful smile.
