Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Rejuvenation is the only procedure that can treat vascular redness, pigmented brown spots, sun damage and collagen structure at once.

With the use of Aurora ELOS, dramatic improvements can now be accomplished with little or no "down time" and with very minimal discomfort.

• Skin Rejuvenation means that the skin is restored to a more youthful, fresher & brighter appearance.
• Pigmentary and vascular irregularities are genetic and environmental factors.
• The improvement or reduction of such irregularities is the goal of Skin Rejuvenation.
• Improvement in skin texture such as fine lines and rough skin are also observed following a series of usually 5 Skin Rejuvenation treatments.
• The Skin Rejuvenation head emits a filtered spectrum of light from 580-980 nanometres (wavelength).
• Superficial melanin as well as haemoglobin absorbs this light well, and explains the effect on pigmented lesions and vascular lesions.
• Superficial pigment lesions absorb light and these become heated.
• This causes the lesion to darken temporarily before becoming lighter.
• Lightening of pigmentation typically occurs 2 weeks post treatment.
• Radio Frequency energy is set on moderate to high levels to obtain the best results. This is determined by very careful test patching before treatment.
• Vascular lesions such as collection of swollen and narrow blood vessels (telangletcasias), small red spots and spider veins have been treated by a variety of lasers and light sources. This ELOS technology allows sufficient thermal damage of the blood vessels without over heating the outer layer of the skin (epidermis).
• The haemoglobin absorbs the light, heating up the vessel, lowering resistance to the flow of electrical current.
• The Radio Frequency current then heats up the vessel because of the lowered resistance, resulting in thermal injury (heat) and/or damage to the vessel.
• The blood vessels (usually capillaries) within the tissue usually fade over a period of two weeks.
• There should not be considerable erythema (patchy inflammation of the blood vessels) and edema following Skin Rejuvenation, as we apply a copper soothing post laser lotion and combine with a 60+ sunscreen. Within 15 minutes the skin is almost back to normal.
• A full-face Skin Rejuvenation treatment takes about 30 - 45 minutes, aiming for almost no downtime and side effects.
• We choose to include a topical medical grade anaesthetic cream for maximum client comfort.
