Description
The Toddlers room caters for 10 busy children a day. The age group ranges from 15 months to 2 ½ years. The children's independence is encouraged in this room.
There are programmed activities for all children to enhance all the developmental areas and skills. These can be seen in the children's individual Journals. We have two staff members at all times of the day including over the lunch period. In the toddlers room, we encourage the use of words, getting along with our friends, using our manners and sharing and taking turns. We also focus on other areas of independence and encourage toilet training. The children in this age group are all unique individuals and develop at varying rates and all these areas are taken into consideration in the daily program.
The toddler's room encourages parent input and suggestions.
