ASM marine sonic products are used worldwide with outstanding success and feedback. These systems are available to control algae in many environments whether they be Marina's, Commercial & Recreational boats, Industrial or general water management like pools, ponds & lakes, even fish aquariums.

The ultrasonic device emits ultrasonic waves through hull into the water. The transducer produces a complex ultrasonic pattern that results into bursting of the small vacuole in the center of each algae. The resonance results in overpressure in the vacuole that will die, the membrane bursts. Some kinds of algae are dismantled after seven to ten days but other kinds detach only after six to eight weeks. You can Brush of dead barnacles from the hull, it will also keep your fuel tanks and water tanks free of algae. That in itself is a huge bonus.

It is not necessary to penetrate the hull for installation of Marine Sonic, the system is installed within your boat. Our Marine Sonic systems are provided either with direct current (DC) 12Volts or with alternating current. (24Vdc-) 110-240 Volts, Ac ~50-63 Hz is available upon request.

The system is electrically isolated and will not cause electrolysis or affect on-board electronic equipment and it does not emit radio waves that cause interference. The systems also will not impact the structural property of the hull in any way, the sonic resonance or vibration emitted is well below any levels that could potentially cause problems.

The ASM Series works on 90 percent of all boats in the marketplace, with a few exceptions, it does not work on boats with cored fiberglass-wood hulls or solid fiberglass bottoms in excess of 25mm (1 Inch) thickness. The system is also limited with metal hulls to a maximum plate thickness of up to 8mm.(excluding commercial units).

There are three key reasons antifouling growth should be prevented:

SAFETY: Heavy fouling growth reduces responsiveness of the craft as well as making it sit lower in the water. This can have serious implications in challenging weather conditions.

PROTECTION: Prolonged fouling growth will damage the substrate of the hull. For example, the natural glues organisms use to attach to the hull damage wood and glass fibre.

SPEED & EFFICIENCY: Fouling cause's drag, which slows you down and increases fuel costs.
