Following a few tough vintages, 2006 was a gentle sigh of relief. Decent rainfall in December was followed be a dry spell during verasion (the time when the grapes change colour) to harvest. To allow the optimum shade and exposure, canopy management was conducted to ensure high quality grapes on the vine.
WINEMAKING
The berries for this wine were hand picked and sorted to ensure that only the best fruit was delicately whole bunch pressed (which preserves the delicate aromas). The juice went through a cool fermentation and together with some fine lees contact produced a wine with characteristically tropical aromas.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES
The cooler climate of the Rylstone vineyard produces a light, clear and crisp Verdelho that is richly aromatic with melon and stone fruit characteristics with a well balanced finish.
