Description
Tasting notes
The Sauvignon Blanc fruit was harvested without any interruption from inclement weather and without the pressure of disease. A range of picking dates over a 3 to 4 week period provided a spectrum of flavours with a variation in ripeness and acidity. The wine is bright, with ripe gooseberry flavours, herbal freshness and raspy acidity, yet slender, with shape, texture
and a sense of opulence.
Vintage report
The 2010 vintage commenced on the 27th of February, which was slightly later than the past 3 years. The lead up to harvest was relatively consistent without any hot days or disruptive rain. The weather was gentle, with warm days and cool nights, resulting in white wines, which were crisp and pure with vibrant flavours and fine, bright acidity.
Food suggestion
This fresh wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif. It is a great match with goat's cheese, soufflé and most seafood, preferably fish that is delicate and not too rich.
